Facing Karmic Consequences

To be ready to to face the karmic consequences of our past deeds requires the spirit of a hero, a hero who is ready to surge above the karmic waves.
Everytime time I see a skillful surfer I think about those who can create beauty on the waves of karma, standing above them and advancing because of them.
We must not face our karma with depression, fear, anger but try to learn how to withdraw ourselves towards higher planes, towards our Core and , observing the waves of karma like a surfer , not to be drowned in those waves.
All that we learn in the world is nothing else but the art to meet our karma and transcend it through creating bridges and steps of beauty.
The karmic Law helps us to be causes instead being results. As long as we do not live a conscious life , are not aware of the Law of Cause and Effect, we live as results. The karmic law awakens us and gives us an opportunity to be causes
A cause unites with the flow of karma and creates a life which is in harmony with the Cosmic Magnet.
My Teacher used to say, "Try to see who is controlling you or to whom you are the slave or who you are serving."
It is very powerful to see the causs which are using us, manipulating us and exploiting us. Free people are very few, and they are the ones who are the hope and future of humanity.

Through reading and study one can assimilate great amount of energy. Reading releases energy hidden in wordsm ideas and visions of the author. Study evokes energy from within oneself corresponding to the energy of the author who charged his writing with his creative energy. You will have more energy if the author channeled into his creative work from higher sources. 
You must, of course, be discriminative in your reading. You must read things that expand your consciousness, things that you use in your life to serve others, things that improve your life.
Real reading is not done for asumement but for improvement, for unfoldment, for expansion and for deeper understanding of life.
Study is an act of digestion. You ponder, meditate or contemplate on things you read, and as you study, you evoke new sources of energy from your higher nature.
In reading you increase your knowledge, and in study you assimilate your knowledge.
Assimilated knowledge is power and energy.As you know more and as your knowledge comes closer to being reality, you absorb great amounts of energy from the Ray of Concrete Knowledge or from the Ray of Intelligence.

Thought and Thinking

Urusvati knows how difficult it is for people to perceive through straight-knowledge. This happens because their inner feeling has been separated from their thought. But how can feeling exist without its foundation of thought? People do not differentiate between the process of thinking and thought itself, which is swift as lightning. Thus taught the Thinker.
He spoke of the role of thought in all creation, but this simple affirmation was rejected by people who had made up their minds not to accept the power of thought. In this way the Teacher suffered greatly for thought.
He taught, "Thought is like lightning, and not knowing where a thought originates, you are unable to transform it into words. A thought may strike your consciousness, but without the process of thinking, it will remain unrevealed and lie ungerminated, like a seed in infertile soil. Such dried up thoughts sadden the Teacher, who sends these salutary signs through space. Centuries may be needed for the proper growth of a seed of thought.
"In schools the art of thinking should be studied above all. One should be trained in the art of constant thinking and learn to be ashamed of thoughtlessness. Man is unable not to think, but there is a great difference between harmonious, disciplined thinking and the oscillations of chaotic thoughtlessness, which not only influences man, but space itself. Affirming the name of the Teacher

Earthly Successes and Failuers

True, much can be resolved in the Subtle World, but such resolutions do not take place often, because so many dwellers of the Subtle World make poor use of their opportunities there and spend all their time struggling with the effects of their earthly lives. They do not have sufficient determination to resolve their past errors and thus renew their consciousness. But the Subtle World offers many opportunities for such renewal, for the loftiest supermundane instructions are provided there. Let people remember, and learn to apply them in their future earthly life.

Secrecy and its Importance

There are many patterns in your aura. When you meditate and visualize or imagine creatively, patterns are formed. These patterns take shape, crystallize , and form energy currents in the pool of your aura. Speaking distorts these patterns. THIS IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP SILENT FOR WHILE AFTER HEARING A GREAT TEACHING. 
.....When you write something in the sand and then walk on it, the writing disappears. In the same way, your serious plans, decisions and promises are disturbed and distorted by your speech. Do not talk about these things until they are registered by your brain.
If, in your heart you decide to be a certain way, that decision is erased if you tell a friend. Your speech destroys it and prevents it from actualizing. Nicholas Roerich writing in Shamballa, says, "When Tibetians talk about Shamballa, they whisper in your ear so that the patterns in your aura are not disturbed." Even whispering can disturb the patterns. All of your thoughts, wishes, desires and everything you imagine or visualize builds patterns.If you build a beautiful pattern in your aura, do not disturb it; do not erase or superimpose other patterns upon it.This is one of the secrets behind success and failure. We should not talk about our plans and purposes prematurely.
This is the origin of secrecy. If you decide to do something great and then talk it with five people , those five people are now electrically connected to that pattern in your aura.Their thoughts, in addition to your own,totally disturb that plan, and that pattern cannot actualize because you have already destroyed its cause.
There is a great secret behind this: "Energy follows thought." If you learn this, you have learned a tremendous lesson. If you visualize something very beautiful and the next moment you speak about silly things , the beautiful thoughtform in your aura is totally disturbed , distorted and even erased by the second thought and your words. 
This is also the secret behind telepathy. I suffer because I am born.
I am born because I belong to the world of existence.
I exist because I nourish existence within me.
I nurture existence because I have desires.
I have desires because I have sensations.
I have sensations because I come in touch with the outer world.
This touch is produced by the action of my six senses.
My senses are manifested because being a personality I oppose myself to the impersonal.
I am a personality because I have a consciousness imbued with the consciousness of this personality.
This consciousness was created as a consequence of my former existences.
These existences obscured my consciousness because I had no knowledge.

A disciple is one who dedicates himself to the Teacher and makes a promise. For example, he promises to learn, to serve, to be silent. He promises to live for the upliftment of humanity, for spreading right human relations, to stand for Beauty, Goodness and Truth.Unless he makes such promises and gives his word of honor, he cannot admitted as a disciple.After he is admitted, an etheric thread comes into being, linking the Teacher and the disciple.This thread is severed if the disciple becomes an apostate and turns into a merchant of lies,darkness and hate or a merchant of exploitation.

When the thread is severed there is a wound in the person's etheric body. It is through such a wound that dark forces obsess and possess the apostate. It is a severe mistake to give oneself to the Teacher and deny him.Once a man enters the right path, he should not turn back.

Protection:From the Heart

We are told that a golden-red light sometimes appears in the aura. This is called the “armor of the heart.” It is this light which destroys the attacks of the dark forces in the subtle planes.
The strongest and most powerful weapon against the dark forces is the golden-red light of the heart because it radiates the fire of life. We are told that the bodies of the dark forces consist of etheric, astral, and lower mental substance, and this substance cannot withstand the heat of the fire of the heart. If the heart glows, the psychic attacks of the dark forces can come no closer than three feet.
Often the light of the heart hits the attacker like an electrical shock and repels him. After each shock, the aura of the person gains in strength. Thus, the opposition evokes greater resources into action. In the aura, the heart plays the greatest role. Golden-red light is an electrical flame which ever stands on guard.

What time should the Teaching be read?

It may be asked—How many times should the Teaching be read? Answer—It is impossible to set limits for that which one loves. One may know it by heart, yet one may nevertheless wish to read it over again. When we memorize it we establish a certain rhythm, yet a new reading may give new enlightenment. It will not only enhance the understanding, but the very change of light on the book may bring a new approach. Therefore when I say—Read the Teaching both morning and evening—I have in mind different circumstances of time. One thing will be noticed in the morning while a completely different one will be apprehended by the evening fires. Understand this literally. Evening thought is distinguishable from the thought of the morning. One should compare the two.
As thought at evening is broadened by the light of the lamps, so does morning thought glow from contact with the Subtle World. Morning thought is strong not only as a result of rest, but also from contact with subtle energies. But evening thought is distinguished by the complete exaltation which is akin to living fire. Many suppose that they already know the Teaching when they have read it through once. But the best covenants remain unapplied, because people are unwilling to understand their polychromy. Thus, examine the crystal of the Teaching by sun and by firelight.

Discipleship-Law of Evolution

How many of you want to be a disciple? Discipleship is not something that you want or do not want. Discipleship is the Law of Evolution. Sooner or later you are going to be a disciple. The currents of evolution are forcing you to go forward. It is better to go consciously forward now so that you have less friction to deal with later. It is better to go with the flow of evolution. If you stand still, you will be drowned. Now is the time to enter into the path of discipleship. There is no escape from it. You must understand this. Hiding your head under the sand like an ostrich does not work. The more you hide, the more you oppose the current of evolution, the more pain and suffering you are accumulating in your karma. This is why the Teaching is a must.

Occult Significance of Speech

The greater the progress that is made along the path of approach to the Mysteries, the greater the care that must be taken by the aspirant (with speech). This is necessary for three reasons:

First, owing to his stage in evolution, he is able to enforce his words in a manner which would surprise him could he but see on the mental plane. He builds more accurately than the average men, his subsequent thought-form is more strongly vitalised, and it performs the function whereon it is sent by the "Sound" or speech with greater precision.

Second, any word spoken and consequent thought-form built (unless along the higher path and not based on personality impulses) is apt to cause a barrier of mental matter between a man and his goal. This matter or separating wall has to be dissipated before further advance can be made.

Third, speech is very largely a mode of communication on the physical levels; on the subtler levels whereon the worker stands, and in his communications with his fellow workers and chosen co-operators it will play an ever lessening part. Intuitive perception and telepathic interplay will distinguish the intercourse between aspirants and disciples.

If man succeeds in understanding the significance of speech, if he learns how to speak, when to speak, what is gained by speech, and what happens when he speaks, he is well on the way to achieving his goal.

Virtues are manifestation of intuitional,atmic and monadic energies. When these virtues find expression through the personality , they turn into virtues.
Virtues are electrical lines that put man in contact with the powerhouse of the Cosmic Etheric Planes; namely the Buddhic, Atmic, Monadic and Divine Planes. A virtuous man is a man of power. He has energy because, through the manifestation of virtues,he is in contact with the higher realms.

You will notice that the more you want to exercise your virtue, the more obstacles appear on your path , sometimes to such a degree that you are tempted to give up, but remember "Blessed are the obstacles; through them we grow'. It is only through the victory over the obstacles that the meditated, visualized and dramatized virtue takes shape in your life and transforms your personality

Quality of Thought

What power is contained in the formulation of a thought! One's whole creativeness goes into a formulation of thought. One may assert that the striving to a conscious formulation of thought already impregnates the thought with life. Only the knowledge resulting from pure striving gives creativeness to thought. Hence, all shaggy thinking results in corresponding formations. These defects of the spirit are so prickly, and the protecting net suffers so greatly from these projected needles! Our co-workers must learn to think without needles.

Meaning of the Gayathri Mantra

We can also divide the mantra(Gayatri) into three parts:
Part One: OM. bhur bhuva svah
Part Two: Tat savitur varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi
Part Three: Dhiyo yonah prachodayat.
The first part harmonizes the vehicles; the second part causes aspiration, upliftment, and focus; the third part opens the pathway toward the Sun and invites us to surrender and fuse ourselves with the innermost light.
The first part refers not only to the physical, astral, and mental worlds but also to the etheric body, the emotional body, and the mental vehicle of man. These three vehicles are harmonized and brought into alignment with the three worlds by the first part of the Gayatri.

OM. Bhur Bhuva Svah or
OM. Earth, Mid-world, and Heaven.

Tradition tells us that the sound of these Sanskrit words has power to harmonize, align, and integrate the three vehicles of man with the three worlds. This power is called mantra Shakti, or energy emanation from words and sounds.
Further, these three words refer to the three Deities ruling over these three spheres: Agni, Vaju, and Aditya and their energies: will, love, and light.
In the Upanishads we read that the essence of the Vedas is also referred to by these three words, Bhur, Bhuva, Svah, which originate in the OM and have their existence in OM, which stands as the jewel in the Lotus or as the developing, unfolding human soul or Self.

Pain and Joy

Spirit is joy, it is not pain; the Spirit is peace, it is not struggle; the essence and the heart of all things is love, is joy, is peace; and the path of pain is the path and not the goal, the Path of Woe is only the means and not the end. For out of that Ocean of Blessedness whence the universe has sprung, spring love and peace and joy unceasing, and those are the heritage of the Spirit out of manifestation. Pain lies in the sheaths in which he is clothed, and not in his essential nature.

Never forget that in the struggle of life! Never let the pain blind your eyes to the joy, nor let the passing anxieties make, you unconscious of the bliss which is the core and heart of Being. Pain is passing, bliss is eternal; for bliss is the inner essence of Brahman, the Self of all. Therefore as the Spirit goes onward, therefore as the Spirit grows freer, peace takes the p'ace of struggle, and joy takes the place of pain. Look on the highest face: there is indeed the mark of pain, but of pain that is over and that has been changed into strength and sympathy and compassion, and a deep unending joy. For the final word of the universe is Bliss; the final outcome of Humanity is rest, conscious rest in happiness. And all the messages of pain are in order that the Spirit may gain his liberation; the end is the end of peace, and the manifested side of peace is joy.

A Story on the Law of Compassion

Once my Mother told me a very touching story about such a joy. There was a man who owed a person a few thousand dollars, and this person was rich. A few years later the life of the rich person changed and he began to ask for the return of his money. The man ran away from the city and hid himself in a faraway village because he felt ashamed that he was incapable to repay his debt.

Years passed and the man who ran away became rich. He decided to go and repay his debt plus interest. After traveling for months on horseback he found the mansion in which the rich person had lived in the past. He knocked on the door. A young lady opened the door and said, “What can I do for you?” “Is the owner here?” “The owner? He passed away years ago and we bought his house when he moved to that little house in the corner of the street. He was very poor when he died.”
The man went to the “little house.” No one was living in it. It was almost ruined.
In tears, he went to a monk in a monastery and asked the monk, “What can I do to pay back this money which I borrowed from a person, and before I was able to pay it back, he passed away in poverty.” “My son, you can do one thing that will please his soul. Go and find orphans, send them to schools, provide clothing and shelter for them. Such an act will pay back your money to the soul of the man who loaned the money to you.”
The man followed the monk’s advice and collected three orphans, sent them to schools, and provided all that they needed. He became a father to them. After they graduated from the schools he found jobs for them.
One day an old lady visited his home and said, “For a long time I have wanted to talk to you. One of the orphans that you took care of was the son of that man. When he died his little son had no one and no place to stay. I was his neighbor but did not have any means to help him, so he became a wandering, sad boy.” The man could not hold back his tears and told the woman about the story of his debt.
The old woman said, “YOU KNOW EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD IS POSSIBLE, BUT THERE IS ONE THING THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO HIT YOUR TARGET IF YOUR ARROW IS RELEASED BY THE LAW OF COMPASSION”

Between right and wrong, Occultism knows no compromise. At whatever apparent cost, that which is right you must do, that which is wrong you must not do, no matter what the ignorant may think or say.You must study deeply the hidden laws of Nature, and when you know them arrange your life according to them, using always reason and common sense.

You must discriminate between the important and the unimportant. Firm as a rock where right and wrong are concerned, yield always to others in things which do not matter. For you must be always gentle and kindly, reasonable and accommodating, leaving to others the same full liberty which you need for yourself.

Neccisity for Honesty on the Spiritual Path-

. On the path to Service it is important to remember the necessity for honesty, for this is the first requirement in building. Distortion of facts is distortion of the structure. Only self-deceit impels the spirit to distortion. The Karmic mirror reflects these distortions, and the spirit which manifests a Karmic evil-interpretation, inflicts injury to the entire structure. Why, then, has humanity so enwrapped the planet with false emanations? Distortion of truth, distortion of the Teaching, distortion of principles leads to destruction. In this blind alley dwells the spirit of man who lives by egoism. One is obliged to sweep away the dust, and crevices yawn in the littered structure. Verily, ulcers of the spirit hinder the erection of the building. One must sensitively distinguish tolerance and moveability from those qualities which are so chaotically revealed in experimentation with people who turn about where neither conscience nor honesty nor truth call to the spirit. On the path to the Fiery World the first requirement is honesty. Thus let us remember.

Seed thought Meditation and its Positive Effects

When you come in contact with a lofty thought, through reading or seeing something or through a subjective contact, a polarity comes into being between thought and your Core .This polarity evokes an energy flow from the Core of your Being. This is a flow of electric energy which creates light in the mental plane when the energy comes in contact with mental atmosphere.
In meditation we often choose a SEED THOUGHT, a lofty thought, and try to analyse it, understand it , we try to penetrate into its origin, effects, purpose and cause.This process is a technique of assimilation through which the lofty thought becomes a part of our mental body and evokes greater charges from our Core as we deepen our meditation.
With every new charge the mental sphere receives new light and the mental atoms circulate faster, more rhythmically , and through more complicated patterns.Faster and more rhythmic circulations of atoms increases the mental magnetism.Gradually the mental sphere turns into an electrified sphere in which all past experiences and knowledge are instantaneously available through the slightest effort of association or keying in .
