Harmful effects of Distrust

One may recall a fairy tale—A thinker brought some people a wonderful curative remedy, but it was necessary to carry it in a closed casket. None of the people would consent to open this casket, because, judging by their own natures, they assumed that it was a viper or some kind of poison. Thus one may offer a most beautiful treasure, but people will take it to be poison. This is how people impelled by fears of misfortune accept a treasure. What, then, is to be done if Satan has so firmly implanted distrust.

Intuition

When Intuition flashes in your mind, you obtain the sense of reality. You see things as they are. You see the CAUSE of things. You see how they develop and become effects. You see the futility of many objects. You see the tragedy of hypocrisy, lies, vanities, pretensions, and showing off. You see the comedy of life. You see the mechanism of self-deceit. You see the role obsession plays in life.
You see those objects and relations which no longer help you in your decision to serve and assist your higher commitments. You see how energy is wasted to feed glamors, illusions and self-defeating pleasures.
You see how life is wasted in making it keep us prisoners of our inertia, as slaves to our own hatred and fears. You see how civilizations are built on vanities and destroyed by self-deceit.
The intuition also reveals the reality of PROGRESSIVE UNFOLDMENT. It reveals the Purpose, the Plan and the Self within you and all living forms.
Intuition reveals the futility of all that is built upon the Sands of self-deceit. Intuition makes people realize that progress is not obtained by running after the tail of shadows.
THE MIND IS CALLED THE SLAYER OF REALITY. IT IS ONLY THROUGH INTUITION THAT YOUR KNOWLEDGE CAN HAVE A PURPOSE AND BE AN AGENT TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE.

Attaining perfection in our day to day activities

Remember the second maxim-- that everything shall be done as perfectly as we can do it. Charge your letter with magnetism and make a talisman of it, by all means; you will do great good thereby; but do not forget that the mere physical handwriting must be perfect also-- first, out of courtesy to the recipient, and secondly, because all work done for the Master must be done with the utmost care, even to the minutest detail. And as all our work is work for Him, executed in Hisname and to His glory, that means that nothing must ever be done carelessly. In this, too, unselfishness may be applied; no one has the right to cause trouble to another by illegible handwriting-- to save a few moments of his own time by wasting many minutes of another' s.
We must not think that because we know more of the hidden side of things than others, and so are able to add unexpected blessings to daily acts, we are thereby absolved from doing the ordinary part of those acts to the very best of our ability. Not worse but better than that of others must our work be, in every respect and from every point of view, for the honour of the Master whom we serve. What the work is that He gives us, matters little; that it should be nobly done matters supremely. And the man who, all his life through, does the small, daily details well and carefully, will not be found wanting when some day he suddenly finds himself face to face with a great opportunity.
The little things in life weigh more than the big things; there are so many of them, and it is so much more difficult to go on steadily doing them. Saint Augustine remarked: “Many there be who will die for Christ, but few there be who will live for Him.” Many of us would instantly and gladly do some great thing for the Master; but He does not commonly ask for that. He asks us to live our daily life nobly, not for ourselves but for others; to forget ourselves, only to remember the good of mankind. Let us then form the habit of helpfulness-- for it soon becomes a habit, like everything else. It certainly makes life more interesting; and, above all, it brings us every day nearer to Him.

Hamful Consequences of Evil Karma

There certain kinds of action which bring unusually horrible karma as their results. For example, the karma of cruelty of any kind, whether to men or to animals, is always especially awful in character; it often brings with it chronic physical ailments, accompanied by most acute sufferings, and often also it produces insanity-- this last more especially when the cruelty is of a refined and intentional character. We have found, for example, that many members of the ignorant mob who tortured Hypatia in Alexandria have been reborn in Armenia, and have themselves suffered all sorts of cruelties at the hands of the Turks. People who are now, apparently by accident, burnt to death with awful sufferings are often those who have burnt others in the middle ages, or looked on with glee at those ghastly scenes of martyrdom.
Any injury done to a highly developed person reacts terribly upon the doer. We should indeed be careful about our attitude towards any Great One who may come, for He, being far in advance of us, is likely to be misunderstood-- to be different from what we have expected, and therefore not to be appreciated. One reason why the Great Ones do not more often come amongst men is that the karma of misjudging and ill-using Them is dreadful, and the fools among mankind are sure to incur it. I have myself seen a case in which a great soul, born where he was not understood, fell when young into the hands of a brutal and incompetent pedagogue who shamefully abused him. I have also been allowed to see the karma which will follow upon that cruelty, and I shudder when I think of it. Truly may it be said of that miserable wretch, in the words attributed to the Christ, that before he had “offended one of these little ones, it had been better for him that a millstone had been hanged about his neck, and he had been drowned in the depths of the sea.”
Closely associated with this is the subject of the karma of ingratitude, which is always exceptionally heavy-- most of all when the ingratitude is shown to an occult teacher. People are constantly pressing forward, desiring to come into touch with the Masters, to attract Their attention; and they sometimes think that the pupils of those Masters try to hold them back, or at any rate decline to assist them in their efforts to approach. The pupil of the Masters exists only to help others, and nothing pleases him more than to draw another to the Feet where he has learned so much himself. But when he sees from the type of the aspirant that he does not yet understand those Great Ones, that his attitude towards Them is captious, irreverent, presumptuous, he will take no responsibility in the matter, for he knows that serious disaster is certain to result. A man of such temperament is sure to make bad karma anywhere; it would be foolish to put him into a position where he can multiply it a hundredfold.
-C.W. Leadbeater, The Inner Life Volume 2

Gratitude

If you go more deeply and if you understand the philosophy of the meaning of life, you start becoming thankful for all of the troubles, pains, sufferings, failures, problems, and obstacles that you have had. Not everyone is in that stage. If one day you open the book of your life and analyze it, you will see in those difficult pages that you made the greatest progress on those days that you were passing through suffering, pain, and failures. I don’t know how many of us can very sincerely say, “Thank you, Lord, for this accident, for this sickness, for these obstacles, for these headaches and problems.” Our first reaction is to hate them because they disturb our previous level — the crystallization of consciousness in which we say, “We are thankful because we have a turkey on the table.” This is fine, but can you look deeper and see how you can be thankful for a life that was nothing but a chain of troubles? If you examine your life more deeply, you will understand that all of the troubles, tribulations, pain, and suffering are nothing else but bills that come so that you can pay your karma and get rid of it. If you do not get rid of your karma, you don’t have a chance to expand your consciousness and contact your own Soul. Let us learn to bless our troubles, pain, and suffering and be thankful for them. Your consciousness must be shifted to that level in order to bless obstacles, pain, and suffering. But if you cannot do it totally, occasionally sit and ask yourself, “What did I learn from this problem?” You will never learn anything unless you have problems.

TS Quote

Difference between a White Magician and Black Magician

One may ask, “How did the followers of the left hand path, such as the Black Magicians, develop psychic powers?” The answer is that the Black Lodge, seeing that some people cultivated enough indifference to the sufferings of humanity, bestowed on them the astral and mental equivalents of machine guns, poison gases, chemical weapons, atomic bombs, powers that can violate privacy, insecticides, pesticides, and other such powers and taught them how to use these.
The point I want to stress is that the powers of the Black Magicians are not the result of their unfoldment. But the power of the White Magician is the extension of his True Self. The White Magician wins. The White Magician earns his powers. The Black Magician receives them. The White Magician does the work with his own powers. The Black Magician works with the power of the Black Lodge and its servants. That is why, when the Black Lodge takes away the power from a Black Magician, he becomes an ordinary man, but when a White Magician develops his powers, no power can take them away. His powers are the parts of the Self.
A White Magician is a highly developed person who uses his powers, his knowledge, and the laws of nature to lead humanity — from darkness to light
from the unreal to the real
from death to immortality
from chaos to beauty .
A White Magician is a graduated higher psychic.
Psychic power requires psychic energy. One must develop psychic energy if he wants to be a real White Magician — through meditation, sacrificial service, and studying the book of life and the laws that manifest therein.

The Principle of Now

Principle of Now. During deep meditation, sometimes the meditator may experience a state of consciousness that is called Now, where the past, present and future are experienced as One or Now. To understand this concept, it must be specified that the experience of Now is not static but dynamic. The present is constantly becoming the past and the immediate future is constantly becoming the present. And the distant future is dynamic. The future that is being experienced at that moment is not static. It is dynamic. To comprehend this concept of Now, imagine that there are one million super computers connected and gridded together. The super computers have built-in programs. All data have already been inputted and the moment the new data are encoded, the gridded super computers. would almost instantaneously come out with the projected future outcome or events. The past, the present and the future are experienced simultaneously.

Preparations for the Full Moon

Preparations for the full moon

Physical Preparations
The first general preparation is to have as little sex as possible or none at all during the full moon period. If sexual energy is held and sublimated at the full moon time, it immediately goes to the throat center, and from there to the knowledge petals of your Lotus.
The second preparation is not to use any alcohol during the full moon period. When you drink alcohol at the full moon time, the effect is fifty times stronger than at any other time. Alcohol at full moon times spoils the magnetic rapport between the pineal, pituitary, and carotid glands.
The third preparation is not to use drugs, including marijuana. Marijuana is the most delicate, subtle poison. It enters you like a needle, but then it become a camel in you and you cannot get it out.
The fourth preparation is not to smoke cigarettes.

Emotional preparations

The first emotional preparation is to increase your lovingness, especially during the seven day full moon period.

The second emotional preparation is control of speech. Try to minimize your criticism, bad words, and cursing. Every time you misuse your speech, you burn your throat center. You do not need that, especially at the full moon time. In many monasteries, talking is completely forbidden during the entire seven day period of the full moon.
The third emotional preparation is calmness. As much as possible, try not to irritate yourself.
The fourth preparation is not to gossip and criticize and have ill will.

Mental preparations

Mentally, you must do your daily meditation, especially during the seven day full moon period.
The second mental preparation is to increase your reading — good reading, not newspapers, pornography, senseless books, etc. You do not need such reading material, especially during the full moon period. Read beautiful books, solemn books, books that polarize your spirit toward Beauty, Goodness, and Truth.
The third mental preparation is more difficult. Try to withdraw into your Higher Self. Imagine that you are walking, talking, thinking, and speaking in God. Who is God? God is the omnipresent Power Who is in your bones, in your hair, everywhere. . .but you are not aware of Him. During these days you must try to be aware of the fact that you are walking, living, and thinking in God. These are preparations for full moons in general.

Effects of Speech

Speech is of triple kind. The idle words will each produce effect. If good and kind, naught need be done. If otherwise, the paying of the price cannot be long delayed.
The selfish words, sent forth with strong intent, build up a wall of separation. Long time it takes to break that wall and so release the stored-up, selfish purpose. See to thy motive, and seek to use those words which blend thy little life with the large purpose of the will of God.
The word of hate, the cruel speech which ruins those who feel the spell, the poisonous gossip, passed along because it gives a thrill - these words kill the flickering impulses of the soul, cut at the roots of life, and so bring death.
If spoken in the light of day, just retribution will they bring; when spoken and then registered as lies, they strengthen that illusory world in which the speaker lives, and holds him back from liberation.
If uttered with intent to hurt, to bruise and kill, they wander back to him who sent them forth, and him they bruise and kill.

More about Tithing-Master Stephen Co. explains

How to Tithe
If you wish to make tithing a regular part of your health-and spiritual-development routine, here are some guidelines:
Amount-Ten percent of your income, after taxes, is the “standard” recommendation; however, this is not feasible for everyone. You can start with a smaller percentage and work you way up to 10 percent.
Proper tithing beneficiaries-It is good to tithe to organizations that
help people in great need. Any organization that helps the homeless, disaster victims, or those suffering from serious illnesses is good. But you may also want to tithe to further a particular cause, especially if you are trying to atone for a past wrongdoing or are asking for help in a particular area.
Here are some examples:
• If you’re atoning for selfish impulses or actions and you want to be more giving and generous, it might be good to donate to the Salvation Army or a rescue mission because they help people who are in great need.
• If you are addressing the karmic cause of a current health condition, it might be good to donate to an organization that raises funds for research in fighting that problem or something similar to it.
• If you were cruel to animals when you were a child, it might be good to make a donation to an animal shelter or rescue fund. It is also good to give money or money equivalents (gifts) to people or organizations that have directly contributed to your physical, emotional, spiritual, or financial well-being. This includes churches, spiritual organizations, your parents, and your employees (if you own or run a business), to name just a few. This is a critical aspect of tithing that most teachings overlook. It shows gratitude for the blessings you have received.
Frequency-Some people tithe a full year in advance; others write checks monthly or every two or three months. There is no karmically best way to tithe with regard to frequency. It’s more a matter of convenience and whether you wish to donate to many causes or a few. It’s an individual decision

Significance of Speech

Each word as it is uttered makes a little form in etheric matter, just as a thought does in mental matter. Some of those forms are most objectionable. The word “hate,” for instance, produces a horrible form, so much so that, having seen its shape, I never use the word. We may say that we dislike a thing, or that we do not care about it, but we should never use the word “hate” more than we can help, for merely to see the form that it makes gives a feeling of acute discomfort. There are words, on the other hand, which produce beautiful forms, words which it is well to recite. All this might be worked out scientifically, and will be some day, I have no doubt, when people have time to do it. It may be said, however, in general that the words which are connected with desirable qualities produce pleasant forms, and those which are associated with evil qualities produce ugly forms.
Such word-forms are not determined by the thought which accompanies the word; the thought builds its own form in a higher type of matter. For example, that word “hate” is often used quite casually without any real hatred at all, when speaking, perhaps, of some article of food; that is a perfectly unnecessary use of the word, and it obviously does not convey any serious emotion; so that the astral hate-form is not produced; but the ugly etheric sound-form appears just as though the speaker really meant it. So clearly the word itself is not a good word. The same is true of the oaths and obscene words so often used amongst uneducated and uncultured people; the forms produced by some of these are of a peculiarly horrible nature when seen by clairvoyant sight. But it is unthinkable that anyone aspiring to be a disciple would pollute his lips with these. We often hear people using all sorts of loose slang phrases which in reality have no meaning or legitimate derivation. It is important that all these should be avoided by the student of occultism.

Patience-- As to ld in Agni Yoga

It may be noticed that patience is developed to the extreme in certain people while others are totally lacking in this quality. What is the reason for this? Such a basic quality cannot be a matter of chance. Know that the possessor of patience has built it up in many lives. A patient man is a worker of vast experience. Only in great labors does a man cognize the worthlessness of irritation. Before the Great Image he perceives the complete insignificance of transitory manifestations. Without many testings it is impossible to appraise and distinguish the qualities of manifestations in life. One should not assume that patience is a distinction conferred without reason; on the contrary, it belongs to the qualities that have been earned with special difficulty, both in the earthly and in the subtle sojourn. Hence, the patient man is rich in experience while the impatient one is a novice in life. Thus let us remember, for the Path.

Tithing Exercise

Tithing Routine
1. Invoke for guidance and blessings.
2. Write a check for whatever amount you decide to the organization or person( s) of your choice.
3. Hold the check in your hands and say to yourself or aloud, with sincere intent, that you are grateful for the opportunity to serve, that you intend that this donation help as many people as possible, and that you wish it to generate much good karma for you and your family (if applicable). Include in your prayer also your wish that this donation offset or “work out” any bad karma you may have incurred. Finally, if you have a specific cause, such as self-healing, simply add that you would like your donation to generate good karma that will be applied to your healing.
4. Then let go of the thought, mail the check, and forget about it. You can decide if tithing fits in with your belief system, but the health and spiritual benefits of tithing can be profound; they go far beyond just the good feeling you get when you give to those in need.

Triangle Work- Guided by Stephen Co.

We will do what is taught by the Holy Master Dhjwal Khul, where we make triangles.
Pick two people. Choose Wisely. The Higher their Energy level, the higher they pull you up. You may not want choose someone who is angry or upset. You may want to pick up someone who is spiritually more evolved. They dont have to be physically alive.
Open your palms. Be aware of your heart. Imagine a GOLDEN LIGHT. A beautiful GOLDEN LIGHT from your HEART connecting to the First person. Then from your heart, visualize a GOLDEN LIGHT connecting to the second person and a Beautiful GOLDEN LIGHT connecting their HEART Centers.
Gently Touch your FOREHEAH Area. From your Forehead, Imagine a GOLDEN LIGHT Dto the First person. Then from your forehead to the second person. Then with their foreheads, connecting the second higher Triangle.
Raise your hands in Blessing. Between you and the other two Beings or persons, inside the Golden Triangles is the Planet Earth. We will chant OM three times and for the GREAT INVOCATION , follow silently.
-Master Stephen Co, Extract from March Full Moon Meditation 2016

Importance of Silence

Let each of you gain that control of speech which has often been your goal but seldom your achievement, and remember that the most powerful factor in the control of speech is a loving heart. Wild and fearful talk, hateful gossip, cruel innuendo, suspicion, the ascribing of wrong and wicked motives to persons and peoples, and the divergences of attitude which have separated the many different nations in the world, are rampant today, and have brought the world to its present distressing situation. It is so easy to drift into the same habits of speech and thought which we find around us and to discover ourselves participating in attack and the spirit of hate. Guard yourselves strenuously against this and say nothing which could inflame hate and suspicion in connection with any race, any person, any group or any leaders of groups and nations. You will have to guard yourselves with care, so that even in defence of that which you may personally or nationally approve, you do not find yourselves full of hate and breaking the law of love - the only law which can truly save the world. Perhaps the key to your success along this line will be the silence of a loving heart.
-Holy Master D.K. through Alice Bailey, Externalization of the Hierarchy

The Law of Decay

The Intuitional Plane can be studied and actualizing the Law of Decay, which is given in the Teaching under various names.
The Law of Decay operates every minute. Every form of life slowly gets old, decays, disintergrates, and vanishes in the three worlds.
All known objects, all the ways in which we live, our emotional attitudes, thoughtforms, even our principles and standards, all forms build by physical-etheric, astral, and mental matter matter are under the Law of Decay. At their origination the forms are alive and active, but slowly they get old, decay and disappear. In every form the Law of Decay works, and if we finally realize that we experience an expansion of consciousness.
All that exists in the physical, astral and mental worlds is subject to decay.Look at a beautiful, dynamic boy or a girl and see him or her seventy years later.Take any house, piece of furniture, book, piece of cloth and see it a few hundred or a few thousand years later, and you will see what changes it has gone through.
THE DISCIPLE OF WISDOM WILL SEE THE FRESHNESS AND BEAUTY OF OBJECTS, BUT IN THEM HE WILL ALSO SEE THE PROCESS OF DECAY.ONE OF THE METHODS TO RELEASE OURSELVES FROM ATTACHMENT IS TO BE AWARE OF THE LAW OF DECAY.
