Mercy-Agni Yoga Teachings

Urusvati knows that the Subtle World can offer great help and mercy. Even where revenge and hatred seethe, the Master applies the maximum degree of help and persuasion. Unfortunately, the free will often resists and chooses to undergo terrible trials once again.
It is no contradiction when We say that every incarnating soul receives a ray of enlightenment, for no one is deprived of mercy. However, one must know how to make use of this blessing. You know that in earthly life the most useful advice is often rejected, and similarly in the Subtle World We often observe that illumination may be distorted.
Evil influences operate strongly in the Subtle World just as on Earth. Disembodied spirits bring with them from Earth the passions they have not yet outlived. However, such passions are not as dangerous as prejudice, because passion can lead to motion, whereas prejudice is stagnant and inevitably causes corruption. Do not conclude from this that We approve of passions. We only point out that in motion there can be a seed of success, whereas ignorance is quite hopeless. When We say “prejudice” we mean an opposition to true knowledge; this attitude is common not only on Earth, but also in the Subtle World. There are even those of a certain mentality who are convinced that knowledge is the cause of all human miseries.
I would like Our co-workers to imagine the various strata of the Subtle World, but there should be no false ideas about this. Many imagine the Subtle World to be a richly adorned paradise filled only with bliss. Yet, Earth groans under the pressures of murder, aggression, and falsehood, and the consequences of earthly delusion fill the Subtle World too.
We are not surprised when people do not accept benevolent advice; it simply means that the soil is not yet ready.
Please tell your friends that they should not assert in their earthly lives what they wish to be in the next incarnation. The fact is that the Subtle World provides possibilities so great that earthly limitations and measures can only diminish them. Life on Earth should be the expression of one’s best accumulations. Often people begin to ponder upon their next incarnation, but it is wiser for them to postpone such thoughts until they find themselves in the Subtle World. They may then discover that it will not be necessary for them to return to Earth again, or that they will have to stay for a long time in the Subtle World to perform an entrusted task there. Such work brings one closer to the Brotherhood.
You remember the physician U., who stayed in the Subtle World for a long period of time in order to render great service to humanity, though his mission became clear to him only while in the Subtle World. Such an exemplary man is in stark contrast to those idlers who want to stay as long as permitted in the Subtle World, in order to delay facing the new tests awaiting them upon their return to Earth.
It should be understood that such defined times in the Subtle World exist for all, but some welcome them while others curse them. There are many who want to return to the earthly state before their time, while others try to avoid returning, at least for a short time, and will even invent some new task as an excuse to prolong their stay in the Subtle World. We could mention many different examples, but at the moment We refer only to those tasks that bring souls closer to the Brotherhood. When there is a relationship such as this, it is possible for one to develop while in the Subtle World, without incarnating.

Wesak Festival and Liberating Devas

Actually, when we are talking about our aura, we are talking about the devas — three devas. That is why they are powerful. You have a physical deva that is your body, an emotional deva that is your emotional body, and a mental deva that is the mental body. As far as the control is in their hands, you are a victim of their manipulation. That is why if you are attached to your sufferings, pains, hang-ups, and different things, you are actually not the slave of your emotions. You are a slave of the devas. Unless you free yourself of these little lives, these involutionary lives even, polarizing them to the evolution, you cannot get rid of them. Our main responsibility for being here is to liberate and to advance the lives of the devas around us — physical devas, millions of lives, emotional devas, mental devas. Only by controlling them in the highest degree can you guarantee your health — physical, emotional, and mental — and that you can only do with Willpower.
When a deva is controlling you, it is in control of many blind forces and urges. But if you are controlling, you are filtering. You reject it. You control it. You make it perfect. That is why the bodies of the great Masters are totally pure. Their devas are Their slaves, and they obey whatever They want them to do. That is also done by the energy of the Will, which is released during Wesak with great ceremonies in the Wesak Valley.

Wesak Festival and the Control of Speech

Between now and the Wesak Festival let each of you gain that control of speech which has often been your goal but seldom your achievement, and remember that the most powerful factor in the control of speech is a loving heart. Wild and fearful talk, hateful gossip, cruel innuendo, suspicion, the ascribing of wrong and wicked motives to persons and peoples, and the divergences of attitude which have separated the many different nations in the world are rampant today and have brought the world to its present distressing situation. It is so easy to drift into the same habits of speech and thought which we find around us and to discover ourselves participating in attack and the spirit of hate. Guard yourselves strenuously against this and say nothing which could inflame hate and suspicion in connection with any race, any person, any group or any leaders of groups and nations. You will have to guard yourselves with care, so that even in defense of that which you may personally or nationally approve you do not find yourselves full of hate and breaking the law of love—the only law which can truly save the world. Perhaps the key to your success along this line will be the silence of a loving heart.

Wesak Festival- Festival of Lord Buddha

The Festival of Wesak is called the Festival of Buddha, the great enlightened Being Who, we are told, is a bridge between Hierarchy and the head center of the planet. In all His work, Buddha tries to build a bridge or a greater communication line between the head center and heart center of the planet. This great Being works especially at the time of Wesak to reinforce and enlarge this bridge, so that greater communication is possible between will and love and between love and service— which means between the heart, throat, and head centers.

Preparation for the Wesak Full Moon

Let each Wesak Full Moon be a period of intensive effort preceded by personal preparation and purification and lay the force of the emphasis upon:

a. The producing of sensitivity to the inner spiritual impression, emanating from the Hierarchy and the Group.

b. The achieving of an intelligent appreciation of the steps to he taken during the coming twelve months, and the laying of careful plans so that they may indeed materialise.

c. The correct distribution of your time and resources so that you do become an active worker in the cause of good will.

d. The effort to cooperate with all that is being done along these lines, which entails the discovery of all groups and persons working with similar objectives.

e. The submergence of your temporary interests in the good of the whole and through love of humanity.
